Art is arguably the easiest way to understand history and time. MoT organizes its contents in a grid that relates cultures across time, a lesser used way of understanding history. MoT is a visual representation of the relationship between humans and time. we have always tried to ground it, to seize it, but time exists apart from us and floats away from us. It isn’t tied to any dimension we know. It, like art, informs our decisions. Past informs present and future. MoT shows the weight and power of time over us, reminding us that we are subservient to time.

The visitor enters MoT via a tunnel under the mass of the archive and arts restoration program. A long entry hallway contains explanations of how best to use the information that the museum has to offer. The museum organizes its collection by date, allowing a comprehensive and linear understanding of the history of art, and thus, a history of time.
